Habitat House, 64 Kippax Street

Completed: 2019

Architect: The World is Round

Builder: MPA

Size: ~6,000m²

In conjunction with April Group, The World is Round and MPA, Evolved Engineering were a key player in bringing the old 64 Kippax Street building to life. The existing and tired asset was fully refurbished to provide a new facade, fully upgraded HVAC systems, refurbished office floors, new End of Trip facility and a roof garden.

Evolved Engineering designed new gas fired VRF systems that provide comfort air-conditioning to the floors from an architecturally designed ‘service spine’ system that leaves the office floor ceiling height open to create a light and open floor plate for future tenants.

New services in line with a PCA A grade building were incorporated into the design including Greasy Waste, Kitchen Extract, tenant Outside Air and exhaust.

The enhanced services incorporated into this building has led to an extremely successful project meaning the building is fully occupied at completion.
