Havas Village
Completed: 2019
Project Manager: Generate Property Group
Architect: Hammond Studio
Builder: MPA
Size: ~6,000 m²
As part of a delivery team including Generate Property Group, Hammond Studio and MPA we were engaged to provide the Building Services Design, Documentation and Construction Services for the office relocation and fit out of all services on behalf of Havas. The project consisted of 5 floors within the heritage listed 1924 Bushells Building located within the Rocks in Sydney, with a total of 6,000 m².
The heritage nature of the building added complexity to the engineering design through the aesthetic and build-ability of the systems to be installed. Our design needed to be not only technically excellent to meet the future needs of Havas but also sympathetic to the exposed heritage structure of the building.
The Havas Village client space located on the top floor of the building provided further complexity with a saw tooth roof system and a fully exposed structure. The space is designed to house both intimate client meetings and large scale functions, requiring the mechanical systems to meet both needs in a flexible and functional capacity. The design of these systems in such complex structure required a high level of detail and an innovative approach.
